bodybar Fort Worth opened its doors earlier this month, and I was very excited to experience bodybar for myself! When you walk through the doors you are greeted by the staff at the desk. They make sure you have Non-Slip Grip Socks for the class, help you get checked in on the iPad, and can answer any questions you might have about bodybar. To the right of the desk there is a small retail space where you can grab items like tanks and leggings, and a refrigerator stocked with fresh juices you can buy for a post-workout treat. Once you’re checked in, head down the stairs to the studio, pick a Reformer, and get ready for the bodybar experience.
During Grand Opening week I tried 3 classes to get an idea of what different workouts one can expect at bodybar: Reformer, Reformer Jump!, and Chair/Jump. They are all great full body workouts. I left all 3 classes feeling like I worked hard for 50 minutes. You will definitely be feeling the burn in any class you take, but the jump board and the chair really take it to a whole new level for your legs. You can modify the difficulty of your workout by adjusting the springs on your Reformer or by choosing different handles during the arm exercises. The instructors are there to help you accomplish a safe but challenging workout so don’t be afraid to ask for modifications if you want to move up or down a level of difficulty.
