UCR Urban to Lease Highly Anticipated Museum Place Development

Fort Worth, Texas – The Museum Place Development Group (MPDG) has announced the selection of UCR Urban to serve as the retail real estate consultants and leasing agents for the highly anticipated Museum Place development in Fort Worth’s world-renowned cultural district. UCR Urban will be responsible for assisting in site design and for bringing world-class and unique tenants to this 11-acre mixed-use development.

“UCR Urban is the leader in retail real estate services in Texas,” said Richard F. Garvey, Museum Place Development Group president and co-developer. “With their success with Southlake Town Square and other lifestyle projects in the area, to have them on board with Museum Place is a huge boost to this project. We look forward to working with them to bring nationally recognized retailers to this dynamic area of Fort Worth.”

UCR Urban is a recognized industry leader in retail real estate services focused on “Main Streets,” transit-oriented, mixed-use and lifestyle developments, as well as the retail brands that occupy them. Their efforts include continued urban renewal and revitalization of downtown Dallas and the surrounding urban core.

The UCR Urban team members for the Museum Place development are Jack Breard, president/partner of UCR Urban, and Rand Horowitz, a vice president for UCR Urban.

“The Museum Place location creates an incredible opportunity to build within a present urban grid and rework Camp Bowie and 7th Street,” said Breard.  “The initial response by the restaurants and retailers we have spoken to has been on par with my expectations. This is truly a great site and will be a great place to shop and visit.”

UCR Urban has recently been involved in the development of award-winning, nationally-recognized centers such as the Southlake Town Square, Knox/Henderson redevelopment and Mockingbird Station. The UCR Urban team is also working on new lifestyle developments in the area including The Shops at Highland Village in Highland Village and Park Lane in Dallas. A few of their tenant representation clients include Adidas, AMC Theatres, Borders Books and Music, Brio Tuscan Grill, The Children’s Place, Eddie Bauer, Crate & Barrel, Design Within Reach, Francesca’s Collections, Kirklands Home, Life Time Fitness, Mi Cocina, Starbucks and Victoria’s Secret.

When complete, Museum Place will be a pedestrian-friendly urban development, with public plazas, open spaces, abundant on-street parking and wide sidewalks lined with trees. Multiple restaurants and a boutique hotel will help generate a lively street scene. The project is scheduled to break ground in 2007 and is targeted for completion in 2009. Museum Place Development, Group, Ltd., developer of the project, is an affiliate of JaGee Holdings, LLP, a Fort Worth company that owns and manages more than one million square feet of retail and industrial real estate. Tony Landrum, president of TLCurban, a Fort Worth-based corporate and commercial real estate investment firm, is co-developer of the project.
